Our campingsite is open from the 6th of June untill the 5th of September 2009.
Our pleasant familiy-camping is under the direction of Dutch guidance, but we speak English and German as well. The campingsite is situated in the Southwest of Poland. The campingsite is about 4 hectares and there are about 42 wide camping sites. Mostly are sunny sites, but there is space enough to sit in a shadow place under the trees. Camping Mirsk is located at a quiet but well paved countryroad. It is situated in the small town Gibultow. This town has three little supermarkets. You can do your daily shoppings in this town. The view from our campingsite is magnificent. The camping provides an unobstructed view over the Karkanosze. These mountains are part of the highest chains of the Sudetenmassive. There are route descriptions for walking and bicycle routes. During the winter this area is populair by it’s snowactivities. The highest part of the Karkanosze belong to a national park and UNESCO inheritance. Swieradow Zdroj, Szklarska Poreba and Karpacz are pleasant and touristic towns which are situated in the area around the camping. Within a few kilometres of the camping there are some lakes with facilities such as a nice restaurant. During summertime the lakes are perfect for swimming. Families with children will have a pleasent stay in Poland.
You’ll be camping in a lovely rural environment where sometimes you can hear the ‘silence’.
The distance to the Czech border is less than 15 kilometres. The distance to the beautiful city Praque is about 140 kilometres.
The area
Camping Mirsk is located in the area called Silezie. The nature in the Sudeten is very beautiful. Silezie is different to other regions in Poland because of its richness of architectural monuments and its beautiful varied landscape. The many marked routes to walk ask for exploration.
The SUDETEN are a range of mountains which strech out at a length of 280 kilometres at the Czech border. The height varies between 1000 and 1400 metres. These mountains are older than the Karpats. The Sudeten are rich of minerals, such as coal. These mountains are marked by their soft sloped wooded hills, deep riverbeds, craggy rock masses and waterfalls. This is an ideal area to make beautiful walks or mountains excursions. Skiing is a populair sport during the wintertime in this area. The KARKONOSZE (in the Southwest) are the highest range of mountains of the Sudeten. The top, Sniezka (snowhead), has a height of 1602 metres. Remarkable for the Karkonosze are the numerous small craggy rocks, from which the most beautiful ones are found in the Karkonosze National Park. (See the link at activities for more information about the Karkonosze National Park).
